How do you keep fit and trim. Is there a particular workout routine that you have?
Shashi: I’m a member of SWEAT 1000 and make sure to get in 3 to 4 sessions a week. It helps me de-stress and stay on top of my game fitness wise.
What is your diet in general?
Shashi: I generally eat quite well and try to have a balanced diet. I tend to have a lot of lean proteins, salads and complex carbs. If I’m on the run my staple, take away is Nandos!!
What is your favourite comfort food or cheat meal?
Shashi: I’m a huge fan of anything chocolate when I’m being bad… I can devour cupcakes like they’re Smarties, so bad!
How do you manage to work out during your busy schedule?
Shashi: I’m an early riser so my days begin at 5am and that way I manage to get it all in. Working out is the first thing I do and get ready for my day.
Whether it’s for maintenance of weight loss, what health & fitness advice do you have for us?
Shashi: I can’t over emphasize the importance of drinking 2 to 3 litres of water everyday… it’s my absolute must for everyone. Also avoiding desserts after dinner helps me reach my goal weight when I need to look good for a shoot.
What motivates or inspires you to succeed?
Shashi: I really love to travel and I’m a serial entrepreneur so the very thought of being the best at what I do keeps me going. Plus there is nothing like the promise of a beach holiday to get me out of bed, into the gym and in my office every day!
What music do you listen to while working out?
Shashi: I’m the biggest Beyoncé fan and my entire gym playlist is a mix of Beyoncé and some great hip hop.
So there you have it, in a nutshell, if you want to be healthy and fit like Shashi, drink lots of water, rise early, eat well and workout. The results definitely show as Shashi is a fantastic looking woman.
