Who doesn’t keep a trusted tub of Vaseline in their bag or in the bathroom cupboard? Usually Vaseline is used to hydrate dry skin and chapped lips however there is a reason as to why it is also known as the wonder jelly. This is because of its various uses so read on to find out just why it’s so wondrous.
The Staying Power of Perfume
As much as we love the smells of perfumes, some smells do fade away well into your day. By applying Vaseline onto your pulse points before spraying your favourite scent, this will lengthen the longevity of the fragrance.
Make-Up Off

Removing make-up isn’t as fun as it is when applying it so try swabbing cotton buds into Vaseline and then using that to remove the make up from your eyes. Also, if a bit of make-up lands onto your Sunday best; take a damp cloth, dip it into Vaseline and use it to wipe off any residue.
Mani-Pedis
Painting your nails can get a little hazardous, especially when there’s more nail polish on the skin around your nail than the actual nail. In order to avoid this, apply Vaseline to your cuticles to keep the polish off your skin and if any colour does get onto your skin, it will be easier to wipe it off. Speaking of nail polish, rubbing some Vaseline under the cap of the polish will make sure the bottle isn’t hard to open.

Flattering Lashes
Applying a small amount of Vaseline to your eyelashes will help keep them soft and strong and it’ll have your lashes looking fuller and bolder as opposed to using mascara.
Earlobe Therapy
Sometimes you need a break from earrings but once you decided to start wearing them again, your earlobes decide not to co-operate. Rubbing a little of the wonder-jelly onto the stubborn lobes will have them accepting the earrings without too much ache. If you’re also trying to remove an earring that’s clung tightly to a lobe, Vaseline can help it come off.
Lip Spa

Eaten too many pineapples? Or maybe the cold weather hasn’t been nice to your luscious lips? Mix a bit of sugar with Vaseline and use it as an exfoliating scrub. Your lips will thank you. Also, have your teeth been wearing the same lipstick as your lips? Apply a tiiiny amount of Vaseline onto your two front teeth and avoid all sorts of embarrassment.
Flu Nose
When you have a cold, your nose, apart from being runny, can get red and sore from the constant blowing. Put some Vaseline at the end of your nose every few hours to avoid this.
Hair Maintenance
Dandruff is an uncomfortable hassle to deal with. Massage some Vaseline into your locs to not only hydrate your scalp but to reduce itching and irritation.
