With Christmas fast approaching, Christmas movies are shown on almost every channel to get us into the festive spirit. There are tons of great Christmas themed movies that people love to watch this month, mostly movies we loved watching as children and still love as adults. It could even be considered a Christmas tradition. Here’s a list of the best Christmas movies.
Home Alone
Ever wonder what could happen to an 11 year old that is left home alone because his family forgot about him during Christmas? This movie will answer that question. It’s a kid friendly family comedy about a boy that has to defend his home from robbers, in very creative ways, after he is left home alone. It’s really fun to watch and is full of Christmas cheer.
Dr Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas
Another great movie for the family to enjoy about someone who hates Christmas more than anything, a real Grinch. He even goes so far as to steal the towns presents in an attempt to ruin their Christmas. With the help of a little girl, he is able to see the joy and beauty in Christmas and learns to embrace it.
Christmas with the Kranks
A Christmas comedy starring Tim Allen and Jamie Lee Curtis. It’s about a family who decides to not celebrate Christmas that year as their daughter can’t make it to their house for the holidays. The only problem with that, their entire neighbourhood loves celebrating Christmas and isn’t to happy with their decision. The Kranks become social outcast because of their lack of Christmas cheer.
It’s a Wonderful Life
Perhaps the most classic Christmas movie ever watched. The movie follows the life of George Bailey, a man who has sacrificed his dreams for the good of the people in his town. However in doing so, finds himself depressed and on the verge of suicide on Christmas. However George has a guardian angel named Clarence who is sent to help him by showing what life would be like if he were never born.
