South African born comedian Trevor Noah, launched his foundation focusing on equipping orphans and vulnerable youth with the education, drug prevention programmes, life skills and social capital necessary to pursue further opportunities upon graduating high school. Beneficiaries will be provided with means to allow them to pursue studies beyond high school graduation
The foundation’s establishment partnered with computer giants Microsoft, to help children. The foundation aims for children to be taught by good teachers with lessons complemented by an adequate technological system
“The journey and the goal is the start of a programme and better understand how to help schools move forward. Then we want to help these schools become self-sufficient. Each experience will inform the next. Today is only the beginning”. Said Noah at the launch.
