Somizi is leaving us. But don’t worry, he’ll be back. The beloved MC/choreographer/Idols judge and reality star is always busy entertaining us whether it’s on or off stage. This time he’ll be gracing our screens all the way in Los Angeles for the annual MTV video music awards where he’ll be hosting the red carpet.
“I slaughtered because I feel I have to thank my ancestors for all the opportunities that I get. I do that every three months, I don’t care if people think that ngithwele (using sorcery to make money).”
Although this won’t be his first time hosting an award ceremony, the star is definitely climbing the ladder, going from local to international. Somizi will also be making a stop in New York to launch his new book, Dominoes, which by the way has been a huge success. In one week after launching the book in South Africa, it was crown as number 1 best seller. He just keeps on making us proud.
This is all very exciting but what makes it more exciting is that one lucky individual will get a chance to share this wonderful experience with Somizi. MTV and Smirnoff are hosting a competition for a chance to win an all expenses paid trip to the event. What an experience it would be!
