The 2018 FIFA World Cup is fast approaching and though it is sad that South Africa didn’t qualify for it this year, South African rapper Cassper Nyovest is waving our flag proudly as he collaborates with Jason Derulo in the World Cup anthem ‘Colors’.
The collaboration was announced back in February and fans have been eagerly awaiting its release. This was all thanks to Coca-Cola inviting artists from all over Africa such as South Africa, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Mozambique to do the collaboration to create unique African anthems for their countries.
The rapper expressed his excitement for getting the chance to collaborate with Derulo on Twitter.
Nyovest does South Africa proud, representing our country by creating a song that captures the South African essence with the vuvuzelas playing in the background to remind us of the time SA hosted the World Cup eight years ago.
If the World Cup is anything like its anthem, then it’s going to be some event.
