Black Coffee's historic Apollo theatre performance

Apollo theatre is not just an entertainment venue, but thee entertainment venue based in Harlem, New York, that played an important role in the emergence of R&B, Jazz and Gospel music genres in America since the 1900’s.

Black Coffee is a South African DJ, famously known for killer beats and turning tables around. He now boasts the rights of having performed on stage that once held the likes of Michael Jackson, Luther Vandross; Stevie Wonder and other award winning international musicians and comedians. 

Black coffee’s fans are excited and wish him all the best in future.

Not only is he making flames in New York, his performance marks him as the first South African DJ to play at the world renown Apollo theatre. The DJ confirmed on Twitter and expressed how highly he feels honoured having to grace the stage of the Apollo theatre. “This performance has always been one of my greatest dreams.” He told The Citizen news publication.
