DJ Euphonik and Black Coffee lash on Ex-Governor, Tito Mboweni.
Euphonik does not usually make it to the news and when he does, it is often for questionable reasons.
Themba Mbongeni Nkosi, well known as Dj Euphonik, is a South African Dj, music producer and radio presenter. On a random afternoon, the Dj stumbled upon a tweet from a government official that did not sit well with him, then boom! The Dj played superman and stood up for the entertaining industry.
The tweet was saying that the South Africans are not doing much with the freedom that they have been afforded which could be taken while they are Dj’ing.
Tito Mboweni @tito_mboweni
The question today is what are we doing with the Freedoms we now enjoy! Are we taking these for granted? Think, think!! These could be taken away from us as we tendering, dancing, partying and DJ-ing!!
Euphonik was one of the DJ’s who didn’t take the ex-Governor of the Reserve Bank’s comments lightly. This was his response:
“With respect, I can’t believe you mentioned DJs and tenderprenuers in the same sentence. DJs do a great job of uniting this country and what we do allows people to forget, even if for the night, the senseless looting and pillaging most of your colleagues do in this country. https://twitter.com/tito_mboweni/status/985616373685604353 …
Dj Black Coffee could not let this one slide, he also replied to Mboweni’s tweet:
@RealBlackCoffee
Replying to @tito_mboweni
Sir Mr Governor , with “dj-ing” I have invested @SweepSouthSA a company that has employed over 5 Thousand Women who are Domestic workers and @Yoco_ZA that is helping over 20 thousand small/medium business with payment transactions.While still waiting for Freedom.
Big ups to Euphonik and Black Coffee for standing up for the entertainment industry.
