Denise Zimba

The former V-Entertainment presenter first tasted fame when she became a backing vocalist and dancer for JOZI. She then joined the all-girl group Fly Chix, whose attempted rise to music stardom was narrated in the reality series Fly Chix in 2013. The big-haired beauty’s rise to fame began when she co-presented the interactive kids show iCrew on SABC3 in 2006.  From 2011-2012, she portrayed an orphan on SABC1’s drama Zone 14. Since then, she has received major acting roles; most notably on the American action series Quantico.

Bonang Matheba

The first taste of fame for your girl B! was at age 15 when she was part of the SABC2‘s kids’ game series, Manhattan’s Fantasy Challenge. In 2007, she auditioned to host the music series, LIVE and the rest is entertainment history.

Anele Mdoda

One of the most popular radio DJs of all time began her radio career at the University of Pretoria in 2004 whilst enrolled for politics and international relations . She was soon hired by Highveld FM(Now 947) in 2007 and soon became a prominent voice in radio.Minnie Dlamini

Minnie entered a talent search for new presenters for LIVE and in June 2010, she was offered the role. Her first role entailed covering Youth Day and the Soccer World Cup celebrations.

Lerato Kganyago

Lerato first captured the public’s attention in 2002 when she was crowned Miss Jam Alley 2002. She was later crowned Miss Soweto in 2005. However, she was more than just a beauty queen. She was a presenter on Soweto TV from 2008-2012 and in 2012, she replaced Bonang Matheba as host of SABC1’s The Link.

Somizi Mhlongo

Somizi had his first taste of fame at the tender age of 13 when he was cast in the Mbongeni Ngema play, Sarafina!. The play was soon turned into a film and his father worked as a choreographer on the film.His dancing skills were noticed and he was soon cast in various productions. His popularity continued to grow and his star shine has never been brighter.

Black Coffee

South Africa’s resident DJ majored in Jazz Studies at Durban University of Technology. Along with two of his schoolmates, he formed an Afro-pop trio called SHANA (Simply Hot and Naturally African). Black Coffee was later chosen for the Red Bull Music Academy in 2003 as one of the South African Participants.  In 2005, he launched his DJ career with a remix of Hugh Masekela‘s 1972 hit Stimela.
