South African actress Pearl Thusi is set to star in an upcoming international heist movie, Blue Mauritius. Staring alongside her is award winning actor and Marvel Cinematic Universe star, Anthony Mackie.
The film follows five international thieves who are hired to steal the most valuable stamps in the world that hold the secret to finding a treasure in Mauritius. The ex Quantico actress will be playing Makeda, who is described as a sexy, gun tooting, motorcycle riding femme fatale.
“I cannot wait to get on set to start filming this action-packed film that has already began to challenge me physically.” said Thusi. ”The movie allows me to proudly represent South Africa among this gifted cast made up of actors and actresses from around the world.”
The film is to be primarily shot in Cape Town with additional locations such as KwaZulu-Natal and is expected to be released in early 2019.
