It’s spring and everybody is surfing the net for the latest miracle diet that will, hopefully, get them in shape overnight. Some are detrimental for your health while some are healthier alternative to your current diet and worth trying.

Here are THREE OUTRAGEOUS CELEBRITY DIETS – lets scrutinize these together.

THE MASTER CLEANS – Beyoncé

To lose weight for DREAMGIRLS, Beyoncé substituted meals with a concoction of lemon juice, maple syrup and cayenne pepper. According to themastercleans.com, the liquid diet is to be used with a laxative every night for maximum effect. This concoction is supposed to detox the system, which will in turn, accelerate weight loss.

This strategy will help you lose weight, however, it is not good for your health in the long run. The human body has detox mechanisms that detox our bodies as needed. Excessive use of laxatives, as suggested by the MASTER CLEANS programme, can lead to dehydration, laxative dependence and can cause heart dysfunction.

THE EGG DIET- Nicole Kidman

For the movie COLD MOUNTAIN, Nicole Kidman ditched her normal diet for the egg diet. Traditionally and most severely, this diet consists of hard boiled eggs, apples, oatmeal, green tea and carrots and cucumbers for snacking. For maximum effect, one would also have to stay away from refined sugar completely. There are three variations to the egg diet and this one is the most extreme.

A day in the diet will strictly be:

  • three boiled eggs and green tea in the morning
  • three boiled eggs, an apple and green tea for lunch
  • three boiled eggs in the evening and cooked oats at night.
  • One is advised to have a cup of green tea before bed.

The egg diet is a low-carbohydrate, low-calorie, but protein-heavy diet. According to HEALTHLINE.COM, the EGG DIET is designed to help aid in weight loss without sacrificing the protein needed to build muscles. High protein diets aid in the rate of burning calories. This same diet, however, can cause unhealthy bowl function because it has no fiber. This diet promises to get rid of ten kilograms in ten days!

THE CABBAGE SOUP DIET- Dolly Parton

There are variations to the cabbage soup diet and the most severe one, will have you eating only cabbage soup for a minimum of five days. The gentler version usually runs over seven days and includes different foods every day.

  • Day 1: Fruit (except bananas) only and eat the soup as much as you feel hungry.
  • Day 2: Vegetables only (except for starchy ones such as potatoes and pumpkin) only and eat the soup as much as you feel hungry.
  • Day 3: Fruit (no bananas) and vegetables (no peas, potatoes or corn) only.  Have at least four bowls of soup on day three.
  • Day 4: Bananas and Skim Milk. Drink at least 4 glasses of skim milk or unsweetened almond milk and eat up to 8 big, fresh bananas on day four. Eat as much soup as you can.
  • Day 5: Chicken/beef and tomatoes. Day five is all about protein… and soup.
  • Day 6: Chicken/beef and Vegetables (no peas, corn, beans, or potato).
  • Day 7:  FINALLY! Brown Rice & Vegetables.

The ingredients in the cabbage soup are:

  • Cabbage
  • Carrots
  • Celery
  • Tomatoes
  • Bell peppers
  • Onion
  • Chicken stock

The cabbage soup diet, CLAIMS TO HELP YOU LOSE ABOUT 7KG IN 7 DAYS. The Diet is a low-fat, high-fiber, however, most articles about the cabbage soup diet, will include a disclaimer, that one is not to repeat the seven-day eating plan consecutively. This is because the cabbage soup diet is extremely low in complex carbohydrates, protein, vitamins and minerals.
