It wasn’t so long ago when boy bands and girl groups ruled the music industry. It was a trend that brought us many greats like the Backstreet Boys and N’sync, Destiny’s Child and TLC. One of the leading girl groups where without a doubt the Spice Girls.
Formed in 1994, the group consisted of Melanie Brown (Scary Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Gerri Halliwel (Ginger Spice), Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice) and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice). The group was a huge success but like all groups, they split up eventually. However, 2018 might let us see a Spice Girls reunion.
There have been numerous rumors that the group would go on a tour this year and it seems like the girls are all on board with that. All except one.
It seems that Victoria Beckham isn’t interested in a reunion and has been quiet vocal about it. Posh Spice has made a name for herself in the fashion industry and seems to want to stay in her lane. A reunion of just four members has been considered but that has been ruled out as it wouldn’t be the Spice Girls if all five members weren’t involved.
Only time will tell if a reunion will happen or not and if it does, can’t wait.
