She’s just been announced the host of a new TV Show, she has a baby on the way, and she just built a brand new home to complete it all!
They say that ‘home is where the heart is’. For many it’s a peaceful sanctuary, a serene safe haven or that little piece of sunshine on a rainy day.
Whilst many like to keep their homes private, we got an exclusive look into Media Personality, Roxy Burger’s brand new home!

– How long did it take you to build your new home?
It took around 18 months from when we put down a deposit until our home was ready to move into!
– How would you describe your new home?
My safe haven! I love it. But aesthetically it’s minimalist and modern. We’ve opted for very clean lines with pops of colour here and there. Our furniture choices are quite Scandi/mid-century inspired.
– What do you love most about your new home?
The fact that we’ve injected our personalities into it. And that there are momento’s of “us” all over.
– Which room do you find yourself in the most, and why?
My bedroom is definitely a fave! We have a Western facing room which means we get to see the most epic sunsets. I love nothing more than sitting outside and watching the sun set!
– What one item would you recommend to everyone building their dream home?
I absolutely LOVE our polished concrete Cemcrete floors which an amazing company called Cherubino’s installed for us. Their attention to detail is superb. We also created a custom Cemcrete bathroom with Viv from the Cherubino’s team and I absolutely love that space. It’s clean, modern and so chic!
– What is the most cherished item in your house, and why?
I think I would say the spare bedroom that’s about to be converted into a nursery for our baby arriving in Jan!
– What tones are you typically drawn to when it comes to decor and colors schemes?
Very neutral palettes with pops of colour. For the Cemcrete floors we chose Sand Dollar, which is an almost grey/beige tone, and from there we build the look and feel of the house. I love the prints on the floating shelves in the TV room – really adds some pop!
