A meeting between an unlikely pair occurred when reality star Kim Kardashian made a visit to the White House to meet the one and only President Donald Trump last month.
The Keeping up With The Kardashians star visited Trump to advocate on behalf of a woman, Alice Johnson, who has been serving a life sentence. Johnson, 63, had been in jail for over 20 years, serving a life sentence for non-violent drug charges. Kardashian took it upon herself to help grant her clemency in a search for social justice.
The reality star found out about the case after watching a video on Twitter from news outlets and was successful in her pursuit, with Trump granting Johnson full clemency. “So grateful to @realDonaldTrump, Jared Kusher & to everyone who has showed compassion & contributed countless hours to this important moment for Ms. Alice Marie Johnson.” she writes on Twitter. “Her commutation is inspirational & gives hope to so many others who are also deserving of a second chance.”
While some think that President Trump used her as a “political pawn”, Kardashian thinks others wise as at the end of the day, they got the job done. It’s safe to say that Trump has a supporter in Kim K who was a little star struck at their meeting.
