Candice Swanepoel is an international model, born and raised in South Africa. She is also Victoria secret model and has walked the catwalk for various famous intrnational designer brands such as Gucci and Versace. She has recently given birth to her first child, a beautiful baby son and she is sharing her diet secrets on how she kept healthy and in shape during her pregnancy.
So just exactly how did she manage to make pregnancy look so good? She followed an organic food diet and did Pilates and Yoga. She claims she focused on only putting healthy wholesome food into her body. As many fitness experts have said, “when you eat better, you feel better.” And that employs for growing babies, too.
Another big piece of advise from the dazzling Angle is to prepare for the pregnancy, a pregnancy diet requires that you prep the body before, during and after the pregnancy. Therefore before you start your pregnancy she explains it is best to make sure you are your ideal weight. This requires eating healthy before and during the pregnancy, as a woman is more likely to return to their ideal pre-baby body.
During your pregnancy it is important that you stay active, anything too intense should be avoided rather focus on exercises such as yoga, swimming and cardio sculpting.
The diet you have throughout your pregnancy should be a notorious one but not restrictive as we are all human after all! You should thus include foods such as vegetables, lean protein and healthy carbs. The worry is not about the calorie intake but rather about the quality of food you are putting into your body.
To get back to your pre-body after pregnancy do not rush it, it is also important that you take your exercise slow, so try walking or water exercise at first. Slowly working you fitness back is a process and therefore no mother must be hard on herself.
Things to remember:
Eat clean, get lots of sleep, drink lots of water and give your body a break when you need to
Stick with healthy breakfast such as Greek yogurt with honey and blueberries or scrambled egg whites
For lunch try having healthy salads with protein such as chicken, tune or chickpeas mixed with quinoa or roasted vegetables
Also remember to exercise and be active such as Pilates, Yoga or even a stroll around your neighbourhood
So I guess Candice’s diet is not a secret at all, it’s all about eating clean, staying active and healthy. The main thing is to enjoy it, pregnancy is such a beautiful thing especially when you give birth to a healthy and happy baby! So go try some of these tips and see how you feel about yourself.
