Kanye West is no stranger to getting a reaction from fans, whether it is a good one or a bad one. His behaviour has been called confusing and his statements erratic like the time he suggested that slavery was a choice. With the release of his new album Ye, he seems to have gotten a reaction from fans as one of the songs on his album calls bipolar disorder his superpower.
The rapper revealed that he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder at the age of 39 and doesn’t look at it as a disability but rather as a superpower. While there are many fans who have commended him for the way he sees it, as always, there are those who think differently. By claiming that it is a superpower rather than an illness, he is also somehow discouraging people from seeking out treatment for bipolar disorder. Fans have taken to social media to share their thoughts on the matter.
However you see it, West shared his view on his own mental health. He has shared that part of himself with fans and should be commended for it.
