It happened again, A South African/Mzansi for sure,  A woman of many talents who assist to instruct other females in “self-defence” was enthroned Miss Universe on Sunday at the “pageant” supported in Las Vegas, alongside Miss Colombia and Miss Jamaica sharing the stage as the run-ups for our Miss Universe.

She (Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, 22), discharged a gigantic smile when she took the crown, beauty with brains, she has graduated and received her business management degree from the North WEST uNIVERSITY IN HAILS. She states that her avidity for self-defence was augmented when she became exposed to hijacking and clutched at gunpoint shortly after gaining victory for her title as Miss South Africa, she stated in a video on the Miss Universe website.

“As Miss Universe, you have to be confident in who you are. Miss Universe has to overcome her fears and teach others to do the same. And nothing is ever too much to ask for. That is exactly who I am,” she stated.

We are so proud of her journey and how she concluded, this is truly a proud moment for South African, the 22-year-old self-defence instructor conquered 91 other participants to the throne in Las Vegas in the United States.

We delighted to announce that she is the second Miss South Africa to take the crown following Margaret Gardiner who won Miss Universe in 1978. The South African flag continues to fly sky-high and we are proud.
